My kid has been driving me crazy lately! She argues with everything that I say, does not do what I ask her to do, and does not listen to anything that I tell her. I have my fingers crossed that she is just going through a stage! Do you have one of these???
Well, a friend of mine shared a great behavior idea that he uses with his classes, to try with my daughter,. All you need is a kitchen timer that makes a loud beeping sound when you are adding seconds to it, and clear rules. Whenever my child (or his class) breaks a rule, they get "beeped". The idea is for them to earn less beeps than their target goal for the week (or if they are really having behavior issues- the day!) My daughter's goal this week is to earn less than 50 beeps. If she can do that, she will get a reward on Friday- a fun Friday.
Her rules are:
No arguing- 2 beeps
Bed and floor beside it clear of toys- 2 beeps
No socks on floor in living room- 1 beep each sock
Not following directions- 1 beep
Doing a random act of kindness- I take a beep off
Have you found a great behavior system that works for your child?

That's a neat idea! I may have to try that with my kids.
New follower from the Friday hop.
I will admit to flying by the seat of my pants for the past decade. I had a friend who was so aware of what her kids' currency was. She knew exactly what to threaten to take away to swing things back in her favor.
Good luck, and hoping for a fun friday!
the beeps sound like a good plan.... hoping it works for you!! you will work through it all in time =) we have to change things up often here, but basically we earn our treats around here.... whether it be tv or dessert and everyone works hard for those special things (including the mama) =)
That's a good idea. I'm trying to find some system that works for me and my girls. They're 3 and 6 and two complete monsters sometimes! It's just plain frustrating!
I'm your newest follower from Social Parade on Friday. :) Hopefully you can visit back and follow as well! Have a great weekend!
