Only a scrapbooker would know what it means when they hear someone say that!
I love the way beautifully done scrapbooks look, but holy cow, does it take a lot of work! Sometimes I feel like I took on an impossible task when I started scrapbooking!
When my daughter was born, she took two naps every day and I was going stir crazy, so I began making a beautiful scrapbook.
From my 1st scrapbook- took days to make this one page! |
I almost threw in the towel on the scrapbooking thing, when I decided to do a little research to see how the heck I can organize all these pictures and get myself caught up! This is the advice I found: just start scrapping- stop trying to go in chronological order. Wow! That made things much better. So last weekend, I grabbed a random stack of photos and started making pages- I made about 10! This way is so much easier than what I had been doing. Now I can just put them in album and then rearrange it later!
New pages= less detailed, use at least 5 pictures per page- much faster! |

I attempted to scrapbook when my first daughter was born. I didn't get very far. But I keep a journal of their antics and nuggets of wisdom.
Following from the blog hop!
I love to scrap. My only tip would be one night a werek to scrap wiuth the girlies after the children are in bed! Also letting go and not scrapping EVERY photo.
I couldn't even keep up with a baby book. So more power to you.
I hate scrapbooking. I was doing a good job for a couple of years printing out pics & putting them in albums. I need to get back on that, but I'm probably going to have to wait until Klaw is in preschool.
My last picture album is from 2005.
I scrapbook. That is to say, I have scrapbooked a lot in the past and plan to eventually get back to it. But, no, I'm not scrapping right now. And yes, I am so far behind. But, my head just isn't there right now. I am trying to save little memories here and there by saving stories I email friends and family. That way, when I eventually do get back around to it, I'll have the stories to tell that go along with the gazillion pictures I take. But, major kudos to you for just diving back in and getting the pics on the page! :>:>
I bought stuff to scrapbookk 4 years ago when I was pregnant and I still haven't started lol

I don't really scrap book but I do keep albums. I was showing some to a friend today and realize half of my pictures are not even in the albums. I imagine I'd be even further behind if I was trying to be creative and do scrapbooking. Good for you on learning a less stressful way to get caught up.
oh and I'm stopping by from Write on Edge.
I attempted to scrapbook when my firstborn was new. Someone gave me a set as a baby gift. Great idea! Only... I only got about 5 pages in when I was PG with #2... and it all went to pot! I have a bunch of albums that cannot be counted as "scrapbooks"... but now that all my pics are digital, I don't even print them out very often!
I suck at scrapbooking!
I love to look at other people's hard work though! ha ha! It really IS something remarkable!
Thanks so much for linking up for #SundayFunday!
I used to have scrapbook fever a few years ago. I made over 30 albums and even a few as gifts. Then I moved and I got busier. I'd love to get back into it. I have tons of pics to scrapbook. Maybe that will be my winter project.
