Hurricane Survival Kit

Batten the hatches- here it comes!
What's in my hurricane survival kit:

Candle and lighter

Can opener

Deck of cards

Cookies

Gallon of water- fill bathtub with water

Movies- for when you have electricity but no cable

Bottle of wine

Cooler filled with ice

Book light or head lamps- you can clip to a book or to your kids

Friends

I have been through many hurricanes having lived in Florida since I was a kid.  The worst part is being without electricity and the flooding.  The best part is unplugging and spending time bonding with family and friends.
Good luck and prayers to all, and for goodness sakes- stay INSIDE! : )
What is in your hurricane survival kit???

Can you describe your life in just 6 words?

I've posted some advice about the kit and the behaviour to have during the hurricane in www.ilvarco.com.
I hope it can be useful.
I hug people who are so worry now, whish all to be ok!

Sounds like a good list.
I'm here in Ireland, grumpy because it's drizzly and a bit cold, so I feel for you all over there.
Stay safe.

As someone who has experienced hurricanes and storms in Jamaica I think you have a great list of things one should have. Stay safe and my best wishes to you all.

Hope you and your family are safe. We were on the outskirts and it still felt fierce at times so I'm hoping those who were closer to the action have made out okay.

Thanks for playing 6WS.

I live in Florida. We freeze water bottles because they last longer than ice :) Hope you are alright.
