Seashell Craft Ideas

Since it's summer and we live in Florida, we have an abundance of shells from all of our adventures at the beach.  We are always looking for fun new crafts to make with our shells.  I wanted to share some of our best seashell crafts with you, readers, and to see if you have any great shell crafting ideas to share too!  So, enjoy our best ideas, and then link yours up below- happy seashell crafting!
I like to organize my shells in pretty glass dishes on shelves on my patio!
Very easy and kid friendly shell craft- picture frame and candle holder.  (My candle kind of melted- it is hot enough to melt candles in Florida summers!)
These tiny sand dollars broke, but I noticed that the doves (inside the shell) were still in there.  In the smaller one they are joined together in the shape of a star!  I took a picture of the shoreline and glued them down on top of it in this shadow box.
A grapevine wreath that I glued shells to.  A word of advice: I made these using shell glue, (which works fine on frames) and sent them as Christmas presents one year, and everyone basically got a box of shells and empty wreath- use HIGH TEMPERATURE GLUE GUN for gluing shells!
We thought that this tiki torch needed a little excitement, so we covered it in scallop shells!  (by "we" I mean my daughter, hee hee!)
One day I took my hot glue gun and a bunch of small white shells into the bathroom and spent the afternoon pretty-ing up my mirror!  This is my favorite shell craft yet!

This sand dollar was broken on the end.  We glued scallop shells to him and he is cute as can be!  These make great Christmas ornaments too!

Don't be shell-fish!  Get crafty with shells and link up your best creation!  I will choose my favorites to feature!
